Bergen...

We took the cable car up to an over-looking mountain called Fløyen, where we had an excellent view of Bergen. I had to paste a few of my photos together to get this view. Spectacular, until it started raining again.

Norway's Fjords

After Oslo, I took a night train over to west Norway, to a city called Bergen, to see its renowned fjords. So this morning, Kelly, a guy I met at my hostel, and I took the White Lady on a tour through these giant cliffs of tree-covered rock. They were absolutely amazing. None of my pictures do them justice.

Vigeland Sculpture Park in Oslo

My first evening in Oslo I spent walking around the famous sculpture park, seeing all of the nude but lively sculptures. Here's a few I particularly liked. There were people all over the park sitting around, basking in the last minutes of sun (which lasts until around 11pm), barbecuing meat, and playing games; just a nice place to be at sunset.

My roommates at the Hello Hostel in Brussels were a couple of Austrian students named Kathy and Julia. We didn't originally go out sightseeing together, but after running into them twice while I was walking around, we ended up spending the rest of the day together, including going out for cherry beer and coke.

Brussels...

Brussels is a cool but strange place. At any moment you can be walking between a nice contemporary glass building and an abandoned warehouse, or between a gothic cathedral and a graffitied skate park. It's really something else.

The hostel I stayed in offered tours around Paris, which I wasn't planning on taking until Karen, the tour guide, convinced me to go. I'm really glad I did because it was so much fun, I met so many cool people, and saw way more than I would have a lone. Karen was really entertaining to listen to and just a genuine person. Totally made my stay in Paris for the best.
